Edward Adams - University of Minnesota-Based Professor of Law

The director of professional development programs at the University of Minnesota, Edward Adams focuses on finance and law subject areas, including bankruptcy theory, corporate finance, law and entrepreneurship, creditors' remedies, and securitization. Since 1992, Edward Adams has also served as the director of online technology and education in the same institution.

In addition to his position at the University of Minnesota, Edward Adams has served as a visiting professor of law at various institutions, including the University of Navarre in Spain, the Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, Tilburg University in The Netherlands, and the Bucerius Law School in Germany. His contributions to the fields of accounting, finance, and law have earned Edward Adams recognition and awards from the University of Minnesota and other organizations.

Notable honors include the Stanley V. Kinyon Teaching and Counseling Award and the 1998 Vance K. Opperman Research Award. He also sits on various boards and committees, including serving as chair of the University of Minnesota Law School's committees on educational policy and school learning improvements, co-chair of the law school's Adjunct Appointments Committee, and a member of the university’s budget and finance committee.
